Jacqueline Fernandez congratulated filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala after the latter was honoured with French distinction, Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) by Alexandre Ziegler, the Ambassador of France to India at a glittering ceremony yesterday evening in Mumbai.

Speaking about Sajid, Jacqueline said, “It’s a very well deserved. He has been in the industry for a long time and has made many blockbuster hits. His hit ratio is so high. For me, as someone who has known and worked in his films, it’s a proud feeling. Whenever we work with Sajid, it feels we are working with a friend and spontaneously our best comes out in his films.”

Speaking about the reason behind Hindi films being appreciated in France and other European countries, Jacqueline said, “It’s a combination of so many things. Our way of story-telling is unique. Music is an essential part of our films and our song and dance sequences are unique and enjoyable. Also, I feel through Hindi films prop also get to see the culture of India, the traditions and the fusion of both old and modern India.”

Speaking about France and her memories in the romantic capital of the world Paris, Jacqueline said, “I love Paris. I celebrated my birthday recently there.”

When we asked if she had anyone special accompanying her to Paris, the actress said with a hint of disappointing, “I went with my friend only. There is no one special.”

On the professional front, Jacqueline will start shooting for the sequel of Bang Bang from next week with co-star Sidharth Malhotra.
