After Glenn Maxwell show, R Ashwin suggests ‘bowling powerplay with a bowling machine’

Maxwell fired on all cylinders as he smashed as many as nine sixes during his hundred and put on 109 with Travis Head for the third wicket. All the hosts bowlers were dispatched to all parts and Kasun Rajitha, with figures of 0/46 in the three overs at an economy rate of 15.33, was the most expensive bowler of the night.

Expectedly, after setting record books on fire, Maxwell was a sensation on the social media with big names of the cricketing world lauding his effort. While it was a typical Viru tweet from Virender Sehwag, Harsha Bhogle was amazed and was curious to know what happens next.

R Ashwin was the first to reply to Harsha’s tweet of “Back 10 overs 153? 100 partnership in 39 balls? Maxwell 145(65)? Head’s 45 at a better SR? Total 263. What next? Bowler anyone?”
