From companies declaring Kabali release date July 22 as holiday to fans booking 5am shows, the movie is all everyone can talk about.
We bring you five mindboggling, completely amazing facts about the Rajinikanth starrer, which is directed by Pa Ranjith. Kabali’s producer Thanu claimed in an interview that the movie will be bigger than Baahubali and Sultan, will earn Rs 500 crore at the box office. We believe him.
1. Kabali, made at a budget of Rs 100 crore, is expected to make Rs 200 crore in the first three days of its release. Move over Sultan Salman Khan, the biggest star has arrived. Kabali’s trailer has been watched by over 25 million viewers, which is more than Sultan. the movie is releasing in the US, France, China, Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia, among others.

2. Findus India, a Chennai-based start-up, has announced that the day Kabali releases, July 22, will be a holiday. Opus Innovative Structural Solutions, a Bengaluru-based outfit, has followed suit. Their reason for the day off: to avoid mass bunks, sick leaves and switched off mobiles. For those who don’t work for these companies, the #KabaliLeaveLetter hashtag is trending on Twitter.

3. A Maruti car dealer in Hosur, Tamil Nadu is selling custom- made Swifts designed with Kabali posters. If a Kabali car is not up to your standards, travel on AirAsia planes which are sporting Kabali livery. On July 22, those travelling from Bengaluru to Chennai will also be served a special Kabali meal.
