Singing sensation Enrique Iglesias is moving into the management side of the music industry after signing sibling pop duo Jesse & Joy.
The Hero hitmaker and his longtime business partner Giaccardi have inked a joint venture with bosses at Red Light Management oversee the Mexican stars’ careers.
“The idea has always been to expand into other businesses, and this will be the first time we work with another artist,” Giaccardi said.
Industry veteran Kate Ramos will manage Jesse & Joy on a day-to-day basis, after the singers parted ways with longtime representatives at Mexico’s Westwood Entertainment in March.
The new deal comes as Jesse & Joy, who are signed to Warner Music Latin, prepare to capture the attention of the mainstream market with the first English-language version of their single Ecos de Amor, renamed Echos of Love.
Iglesias is known for helping to raise the profile of artists like Gente de Zona and Prince Royce by working with them, although it is not yet known how directly involved he will be with Jesse & Joy.
