Nawazuddin Siddiqui as APJ Abdul Kalam may not exactly be a bad proposition. The actor shares the same lean frame and body structure as the late former President of India and given the fact that he is a brilliant actor one can hazard a guess that he would do complete justice to the role. While some recent reportage suggested that the Nawaz may essay the role of India’s most loved President, the actor denied this news today.

Speaking the trailer launch of Raman Raghav 2.O, Nawaz said, “I have not yet been approached but it would be great if I get a chance. He was a great personality and I would be happy if I get a chance to play him on screen.”

Nawaz who today leaves a mark not just on audience but even on co-stars that he works with expressed his delight at having received high compliments from none other Amitabh Bachchan himself. The superstar actor who teamed up with Nawaz in TE3N was effusive in his praise for the Gangs of Wasseypur star.

When asked about the compliments paid by Big B, Nawaz said, “It felt nice. I couldn’t come for the trailer launch because I was shooting in Pune for a climax sequence. But what can be bigger than being praised by Bachchan sir. I learnt lot from him both on and off the camera.”
