Notice to government, Reliance Jio over 4G tower

Rajasthan High Court on Monday issued notices to the state government and Reliance Jio over the illegal installation of a 4G tower at Pushpanjali colony near Mahesh Nagar area on Monday. The court gave the next date of hearing on April 5.

JAIPUR: Rajasthan High Court on Monday issued notices to the state government and Reliance Jio over the illegal installation of a 4G tower at Pushpanjali colony near Mahesh Nagar area on Monday. The division bench of Chief Justice S K Mittal and M Rafque issued the notice on a petition by Tara Sharma and others. The petition alleged that the installation of 4G tower at plot number 25 at Pushpanjali Colony is in violation of the rules.
According to the rules, the minimum size of the plot to install tower is 900 square feet while the plot on which the tower is being installed is much less. The rules prohibit the installation of towers in densely populated area, near schools etc, due to the emission of radio frequency and elector magnetic radiations. The court gave the next date of hearing on April 5.
