Sanjay Dutt leaves Pune’s Yerwada jail: Here’s what family and fans have planned for Munnabhai

Sanjay Dutt will reach Mumbai soon, and the entrance of Dutt's house in suburban Bandra was decorated with garlands to welcome him back.

Actor Sanjay Dutt today walked free out of the Yerawada jail after completing his prison term, putting behind his turbulent past as a convict in the 1993 Mumbai serial bomb blasts case.

Clad in blue shirt and jeans, a smiling Sanjay Dutt was escorted out of the imposing jail gates this morning after completing formalities and got into a car that drove him straight to Lohegaon Airport here to take a chartered flight to Mumbai.

The 56-year-old on screen ‘Khalnayak’ saluted the tri-colour fluttering on top of the jail building as he carried a bag containing his belongings and his inmate file with him.  ‘Good Boy’ Sanjay Dutt needed stern words to wear prison uniform

The actor will reach Mumbai by 11 am.

Fans too were seen eagerly awaiting Dutt’s return. Hoardings like “Welcome Back Sanju Baba”, “Bandraites Welcome Back Bandra Boy Sanjay Dutt” with a picture of young Dutt with his mother were put up in the area.

The actor is scheduled to reach Mumbai after 11 AM. According to sources, after his arrival, Dutt will straightaway visit the Siddhivinayak Temple at Prabhadevi in South Mumbai to offer prayers and then head to his mother’s (Nargis) grave at Marine Lines to pay respects before proceeding home in Bandra, where he is scheduled to hold a press conference later in the day.
