Patel Integrated Logistics Ltd, an express delivery company, is entering the B2C (business to consumer) segment with last-mile delivery points to tap the ecommerce potential.

The company, which recently raised Rs 18 crore to fund this new initiative, has decided to set up 50 to 60 special delivery centres in the next three months as part of its broader plan to open 300 branches in three years. These branches will cater exclusively to the e-commerce business, the company said.

“Ecommerce is a relatively new business in the country and by entering into the B2C segment, we are looking forward to maximise our business opportunities. We are learning to make this new venture more robust and growth-oriented for our company,” Areef Patel, vice-chairman, Patel Integrated Logistics, said. Patel Logistics has entered into deals with SpiceJet and Jet Airways for 24-hour delivery .
